Knowing where to start when it comes to shampoo is something we all struggle with. I’m going to share with you some of my top tips in finding the right shampoo for you.
- As a general rule of thumb, if your shampoo is sharing a roof with milk then it is filled with all kinds of nasties you don’t want.
- Look for sulphate and paraben free
- Choose your shampoo depending what you want from your hair, for example if your hair is dry you will want moisture or if your hair is fine and limp look for volumizing shampoo.
Now you’ve located your fav product, let's get clean! Always do two shampoos when washing your hair. The first shampoo will remove all the dirt from the inside of your hair and the second will remove the build up on the outside of your hair. If the shampoo doesn’t foam up a lot don’t panic it’s not actually supposed to do that till the hair is clean. You can add more water to your hair to get the product to move more freely.
Finish up with conditioner evenly distributed through the mid lengths and ends of your hair. With what product you have left on your hands you can put this through the root of your hair then gently brush through before washing out the product.
